My FB page exploded in comments over it all. lawzy.
I think the mosque should be built. I think this crazy fucker has the right to burn whatever he wants. I just hate that he's getting so much exposure because HE'S CRAZY. But so is OctoMom.

As for repercussions overseas, I hope they are minimal. The problem, as I see it, is that crazy is contagious.

I kinda like that this discussion is going on:people who were using the same argument against the mosque in Manhattan - "he has a right to do it but maybe he shouldn't" were told that it should be built anyway to prove some point;now the people who were calling this argument stupid picked it up and are using it to achieve their point. It's just shows that no one cares about the mosque or koran or whatever, they are just concerned with pissing off the other side as much as they can. I really don't care one way or another, I just enjoy hypocrisy being exposed. As far as putting soldiers in danger, I think it wouldn't make any difference, remember all the kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq few years ago, they don't really need a reason.

For a movie recommendation, then, of a good one, go see "Get Low" by Robert Duvall, among others. Fantastic, old-fashioned, funny, touching, clever, original, intelligent film, beautifully and wonderfully told. Also has Bill Murray in another quirky, fun role for him and Sissy Spacek as a terrific "ex".

No pumpkin in ND either but I had appointments in Rochester, MN this week and I checked HyVee. There was lots of the HyVee brand so I bought 25 cans @ 94 cents a can as I make pies for our restaurant. Looking at ebay, maybe I should have bought more, forgot about pies and sold it on ebay!!!

This may sound harsh, but not all the kids are smart. Current system refuses to recognize that and it convinced all the parents that their kids are smart. They are not. That doesn't mean they don't have any other talents. I was always good in math and sciences but I can't draw, sing, or dance. If my art teacher was graded on my performance she would've never gotten paid. Insisting on everyone achieving the same standard is stupid and slows down smarter kids who could be moving way ahead but have to sit and wait while the teacher is explaining something for the tenth time to a slow kid. My kid's school has an advanced math program and currently my daughter is in the 8th grade studying 10th grade math, which is actually the 8th grade math which can't be taught in the 8th grade because they spent the first 3 grades teaching kindergarten stuff.
Say hello to your husband, I am following his tomato addiction on FB

Did I ever read this post at just the right time! You are so right. Wow are you right. I just dropped my daughter off at college in a very high-stress scenario and now I miss her. This has been such a hard year for EVERYONE. You are right. I don't know anyone who has things totally easy right now. We all are fighting battles. Reaching out to one another with humor and compassion is the ONLY solution I've found. Thanks for reminding me and giving me a laugh at 1:00 a.m. when I feeling like crying.
