I met with a freelancer today & got a project she doesn’t have time to do.
While I was meeting with her, I got an email from a former co-worker, with a freelancing project that may come to fruition down the road.
While I was answering the email on the second project, I got a message on Facebook that my friend sent my email and name to his old boss who’d just posted they needed media freelance help.
My mind is whirring. And whirling. And wondering.
Is it a sign?
if it’s not a sign it might be that window that everyone talks about opening up when one closes.
Sounds to me like you may just about ready to start your own business. Or maybe that whirring and whirling sound you’re hearing is only your refrigerator going on the blink. Best of luck in this Miss Kodiak. Just thought of something. You had a “kodiak/kodak” moment.
Sign or not, YAY for freelance work.
I agree, YAY and take it as it comes for now.
Sounds exciting! Even if freelance isn’t where your heart is, I’m happy that you’re at least able to stay busy and not watch the account balances dwindle until something solid comes along!
You’ve just described the Rule of Three. You might just find that you prefer freelancing over a ‘real’ job this time around! If not, just think of the doors that can open to you and the contacts you may make from these opportunities. Rah!
Maybe it’s a sign you’re meant to be your own boss?
Wow, that’s amazing! I’ve been looking for freelance work but have found very little. I need to get inside your network!
that’s great! but then not surprising, knowing you.
I’m so glad for you. Sounds like things are coming together. Freelancing offers a lot of freedom. I did freelance writing during 2000-2001 and often wish I was still doing that. : ) Sounds like your networking skills are really paying off.
