“KnitterWocky”<\/p>\n

The time has come,” the Husband said,
\n
“To talk of many things:
\n
Of yarn–in skeins–and pattern books–
\n
Of needles and stitch rings–
\n
And why that bit has got a knot–
\n
And where to stash these strings.”<\/p>\n

“But wait a bit,” the Knitter cried,
\n
“Before we have our chat;
\n
Even if we\u2018re truly out of room,
\n
I never tried to tat!”
\n
“No hurry!” said her husband.
\n
She thanked him much for that.<\/p>\n

“An online auction,” the Hubby said,
\n
“Is what we chiefly need:
\n
Knitters and Bidders everywhere
\n
Are very good indeed–
\n
Now if you’re ready, my Knitting dear,
\n
We can begin to weed.”<\/p>\n

“But not my yarn!” the Knitter cried,
\n
Turning a little green.”
\n
After all the shopping I\u2018ve gone through,
\n
That would be very mean!”
\n
\u201cThese yarns are fine,\u201d the Husband said.
\n
\u201cYou\u2018ll never knit these, too!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut this one\u2019s wool! and these are silk!\u201d
\n
The Knitter began to wail.
\n
\u201cI simply cannot let them go!\u201d
\n
Her husband shook his head.
\n
\u201cI give up!\u201d he laughed, and with a sigh,
\n
Made his way to bed.<\/p>\n

And so her stashing style grew more,
\n
Hiding bags and such,
\n
It\u2019s Noro, it was all on sale!
\n
Can you really have too much?
\n
An AbFab kit, in creamy pinks,
\n
\u201cIt called to me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Her Mission, it did truly seem,
\n
was simple in its scheme
\n
To buy up all the yarn she saw
\n
And knit it in her dreams….<\/p>\n
