January 22, 1944 – June 10, 2006<\/p>\n

He passed away comfortably, surrounded by family, at 6 pm tonight. I held his hand as he took his last breaths, as the one thing, the biggest thing I’ve feared my whole life, happened. And it wasn’t terrifying. His death didn’t shatter the universe. It was the most profound moment in my life, and I am so grateful I was here to give him my love, I was able to tell him over and over, how much I loved him, and I repeated the words he spoke on the phone last night: it will be ok.<\/p>\n
