I told my friend Julie I was “unnaturally excited” about her pregnancy, and sweet Lily has no idea how her crazy Unofficial Auntie Jen is going to dote on her. :) For starters, we present the absolutely adorable baby overalls and the hot pink hand-knit sweater I gave her at the baby shower.
The sweater is knit in ?yikes! I don’t remember, it’s acrylic, it’s a kid’s yarn, I bought it at The Studio. The pattern is wicked simple, it is a freebie from the KnitList gift exchange, and can be found here. The hair? That baby has some serious hair. Mamma has a head full o’ hair, and Lily definitely inherited her hair, it seems – and for now, it’s untameable, outrageous, and UBER CUTE! She’s just so pretty. And snuggly. When I held her, she completely curls her head & body into you. Insert your “awwwwws” here…..
She is adorable… and I’m so in love with the name Lily. I always said I’d name my daughter Lily, and then I married a man who’s last name is Luty and you can’t have a kid going around with the name Lily Luty, because that would be mean.
She is soooo sweet, I’ve got a toothache just looking at her!!!! I love the little sweater, and I bet she would be a dream to knit for!!! Thanks for the link to the pattern, I can see me knitting that sweater for all my friends who are in the process of procreating!
MY LORD she is cute!!!!
I almost did that pattern! But didnt’ feel like knitting seed stitch for ever. ;)
As for the pill box… i’m not sure if it’s a boy baby, or a girl baby.. if it’s a boy, the bows will come off, and buttons go on….. And a pillbox seems too girly. Hmmmm Any comments?
That baby is TOOooooo cute! Definitely model material. And I love the color of the sweater. I’ve looked at that pattern before, but didn’t know if I could stand to seed stitch for that long. Did you really finish in 5 hours? (Truth in advertising police want to know!)
